Consultant cardiologist

Dr Nicoletta Orphanou is a Consultant Cardiologist based in Nicosia, Cyprus.

She is Secretary of the Cyprus Society of Cardiology and President of its Working Group of Cardiovascular Imaging.

 

Her clinical interests include echocardiography, valvular heart disease and cardiomyopathies. She performs transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography as part of the assessment and follow-up of cardiovascular conditions.

She completed her specialist training in Cardiology at Nicosia General Hospital and G. Gennimatas General Hospital in Athens. She was also involved in research in arrhythmias, cardiomyopathies, inherited cardiac diseases and sudden cardiac death.

Following completion of her Cardiology training, she undertook further training in echocardiography and valvular heart disease at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, UK.
